Our Christmas services are listed on page 23 and an article on the man who married Mary is on page 24, it's an interesting reflection on how important you can be by just being ordinary.

Do you have property in Enfield that you would like to rent to a refugee family?  See page 7 for details of how to help.

Finally, we are leading a Beer and Carols event at The Little Green Dragon Pub on Green Lanes in Winchmore Hill (see page 12), do come along to support us and the pub.

On page 10 there is an update from the Al Shurooq School who we support as a church.  Page 7 has information on the persecution Christians are facing in Central Asia.

We’re putting on a concert on Saturday 17th November, see page 17 for details.  It would be great to see as many people as possible at this and do bring your friends and family too!

Finally, we're starting a new monthly activity - Family Film Feast. The first one is on 1st December, see page 18 for more details.

We have a review of the Girls’ Brigade time away at Tolmers Activity Centre on page 26 and an update from the Boys’ on page 28.

On page 23 there is an update on the persecution Christians are facing in China.  Tim Peake speculates on intelligent design on page 10.  Then on page 9 there are some thoughts on grieving and there’s an opportunity to remember those who are no longer with us at Palmers Green URC on Friday 2nd November – see page 8 for details.

We’re putting on a concert on Saturday 17th November, see page 21 for details.  It would be great to see as many people as possible at this and do bring your friends and family too!

Mark and Melanie are planning a trip to India in January and would love to take a few people with them, more details are on page 22.

Refurbishment work at church should be happening in the not too distant future, for more details, see page 9.  If you would like to donate you can do so at www.give.net/bhp1 that's for phase one only, phase two will happen later.

House group restarts on 11th September with a new series on Proverbs, see page 11 for more information.

There are quite a few events coming up so please go to page 6 to get those dates.

Finally we have a review of the Boys Brigade camp on page 27, it sounds like they had a great time and it's always good to read what they have been up to.

On page 20 Mark has written an article "What does it mean to be the church of God".

Details of our latest fundraising for The Leprosy Mission and Christian Aid can be found in "Here is the News" on page 6.

Stephen Gilburt from Christ Church has written a report on an interesting trip to the British Museum which you could repeat later in the year - see page 7.

Page 8 has an article about how God delivers us and page 16 has an interesting "quiz" - check it out to see what I mean.

On page 16 the Seniors from the Boys' Brigade have written a review of the Murder Mystery event they put on, it sounds like a fantastic time was had.
